There’s no such thing as a bad emotion. I know it is easy for us to feel bad, or to feel that feeling bad is, well, bad. However, consider this: All emotions are valuable.
Emotions are the language your inner self (or your subconscious mind) communicates with. Your unconscious mind uses emotions to bring to the surface something that needs to be addressed. This is similar to what happens in your body, where there is pain, it is meant to draw attention so that something can be changed or corrected.
Do not be afraid of emotions, they tell you what you need to hear. They are a language!
Emotions are not good/bad, they are “useful”. Don’t label them as good or bad, don’t hide from them, resist them, or ignore them, instead listen to them and see what they have to teach you.
Finally, it is worth noting that an excess of anything is unhealthy. Emotions in themselves are healthy, but obsessing about an emotion, holding onto a certain negative emotion (usually due to a hidden belief that you need to suffer, pay for something, or punish yourself) is not healthy, and is not a part of the healthy function that emotions serve.
