The short answer is yes.
PSYCH-K is a technique that utilizes belief statements, muscle testing, and the whole brain posture which includes hemispheric lateralization. The postures used are referred to as “balances”.
Hemispheric lateralization or balancing refers to the activation of both of the hemispheres of the brain. The functions of the right and left hemispheres of the brain differ, each hemisphere is good at different things. If one hemisphere is more heavily involved in a specific function, it is often referred to as being dominant.
When you have a belief, trauma, or habit, often one of the hemispheres is more dominant. The theory behind how PSYCH-K works says that getting both hemispheres to be active helps your subconscious mind resolve problems and reprogram itself. Other beneficial things happen, such as a light state of trance (likely alpha brain waves), calming the nervous system, and allowing you to sit with the feeling or belief without judgment.
In order to be able to do PSYCH-K it is necessary to go to a beginners Psych-K workshop. These take place throughout the world by highly qualified Psych-K instructors.
As my client, if you are proficient in writing belief statements, sensitive enough to do your own muscle testing, and know the process, then you can do PSYCH-K by yourself. Some will disagree with this sentiment, however, I function in my role not only as a facilitator but also as a teacher, teacher of deep human truths and skills, that once use to be mysteries and occult. I always give my clients knowledge to help them use the skills and tools on their own in order to empower my clients to help themselves.
Having said that, we are all human, and it is natural and appropriate, most often than not, i.e. highly needed and very necessary to ask someone to help us.
